I Don't Want to Lose Control: Who's in Charge of the AI

"I don't want to lose control of my accounts." You shouldn't. Hand over the volume, keep the steering wheel, and know exactly where each control sits.

Owner problems · 4 min read

Handing fans to a machine feels risky, and it should. One bad night with the wrong guy can cost more than the tool saves. In our own first 8 days on Fanvue, one fan made about 72% of AI sales, $1,345 of $1,865. It's our own account and a small sample, but nobody sane hands a guy like that over without a way to step in.

The fix is layers. You can stop everything, stop one guy, jump into any chat, and change how she behaves. Here's each one, biggest first.

The master switch

One switch, and the AI pauses for everyone. No ticket, no waiting for support. Flip it back when you're ready.

Who she talks to

She can answer every fan, or only the guys you switch on. Most owners should start with the second: a small group, a few days of reading, then wider.

The per-fan switch

Every chat has its own switch: "AI chats with him". Turn it off and she stays out of that chat until you turn it back on. Your biggest spenders can stay with a human for as long as you want. You pay 0% on sales a human made himself, so keeping your best guys in human hands adds nothing to our fee.

Step in any time

Open any chat in Chats and you've got the whole thing in front of you:

Debug: teach once, applies everywhere

This is the one we'd miss most. Say a guy told her he only likes photos, and she offers him a video anyway. You click her message and write what she should have done: if he says he prefers photos, don't offer him video. That becomes one short rule across all her Fanvue chats, and you can remove it any time.

Some things Debug won't do, on purpose. It can't make her write more or longer messages, or follow up more. It can't add links, outside payment or meetings. Nothing unsafe either. Those limits keep a rushed rule at 2am from doing real damage. Platforms set their own rules, and Fanvue's are yours to stay inside.

Some lines stay fixed whatever anyone types: 18+ only, so she stops with anyone who seems underage. On Fanvue she sends no links to other sites. She doesn't agree to meet in person. You can always make her do less. Those lines don't move.

What she can sell, and for how much

Seeing what she did

Control only works if you can see. Every Fanvue chat is there to read. Chips show holds with the reason, and the Lift button overrules a hold. The dashboard shows what the AI sold next to everything else, per day. Alerts bring purchases and new subscribers to your computer or to a Telegram bot.

Chatters get their own logins, and you choose what each one can see, so running a team doesn't mean sharing one password around.

Money has a limit too

The balance is prepaid. You top up on Whop and the fee comes off after each sale. At -$2 the AI pauses until you top up. There's no monthly fee, so stopping costs you nothing.

How we'd start

If it goes wrong, you've got one switch. New accounts get $10 of credit, which covers the fee on $100 of AI sales, so finding out costs you very little.

Let the AI do the chatting
